Anastasia is a visual artist, currently living and working in Düsseldorf, Germany. With a
background in design, she works across a number of media and techniques including painting,
drawing and illustration.
Her artist career began in her early age of 2, as she started to paint her parents & grand parents,
people and all the exciting environment around. She uses painting as her primary medium, to
introspectively delve into human emotions. Her large canvases alive with bright, neon color spots
through the use of heavy pastose brush strokes. In several working steps, individual layers of paint
are applied one on top of the other, resulting, at the end of the painting process, in a seemingly
uniform whole—the human portrait.
— On the large canvas I seek to capture a person’s “aura”, try to catch this special feeling!
